"Welcome to Duvall"

Andy, you'll be pleased to hear that my time in Duvall started in the exact same manner as it finished in Providence...as soon as I got here, headed to the bar, and yep, I spelt my drink...but over me this time.

So anyway, this is my current location, meaning that I've finally caught up with myself. I left Providence last Saturday, flew from Boston, to Chicago, Illinois, spent $11 on a crappy roll and a drink...well they didn't have price tags on them, and I couldn't say "no" once he'd rung it through the till. Then from Chicago to Seattle, Washington. This bringing the total number of States I've been in (including DC and all flight layovers) to 13 (in my lifetime, not just on this trip)...not too bad.

I got picked up by Jane, and we headed to Duvall, which is a small town about 45 minutes away from Seattle. I'm staying with the Charnley family (thanks for setting this up Katie), who have been more then awesome to me since I arrived, they wouldn't even let me dry up....at first...

Duvall is a pretty quiet town, in the middle of nowhere, they are some pretty scenic views though, and by that I mean, there's hills here! And the two bars with some 'characters' in them. And being in the 'sports bar' on a Saturday night, is like being at a family wedding watching you're Aunties dancing. Here's some pictures (of the scenery, not your Auntie), so that Mum's happy:

In case the gate wasn't a big enough clue!?

Last week I stole a few cards (from Thrive gym) of local companies and emailed a few to see if they need any help volunteering, but I need to walk round the shops and do it face-to-face I think!? But we'll see. I also plan to start looking and applying for jobs in Canada this week, but we'll see.

Isn't too much to write about at the moment, but I am up to date now with this whole blogging malarkey, which means that all my blogs from here on out SHOULD be up to date and present timing, but we'll see. (And hopefully not as long - but I seem to be typing as much as I usually talk).

In case you couldn't tell, I'm starting to like these 'map and flag' pictures
Look Saints (as in a football club) are older than this whole state.
