Too many piss ups won't help a damaged stomach!

I've been a bit lazy over the last week, so I'm not gonna write down every in and out, just travelling around a few new cities, a desert, a week long stomach bug (including the best projectile vomiting that I have ever produced (that part was kinda self inflected, but the local Bolivians are so generous and I can’t ever say “no” to beer apparently, so don’t feel sorry)), a new Swiss haircut, and a Red and While Lake!

Zebras at a Zebra crossing in Sucre last week.

Claudia using the "Beard for thought" to help think of a creative idea for my hair. I dunno how or why it started, but I said that she could do whatever she wanted to my hair whilst we were walking the Inca Trail

Sucre whilst on one of my runs!

After yet another night out, we then headed onto the town of Potosi. Although my stomach did feel bad that day and has carried on, I have still powered through it all....well, I'm only gonna be in Bolivia once, I've got plenty more chances to be ill!

I didn't really do to much in the citytown, but yet again we headed out that night....bit of a pattern forming here!
Early the next morning we left Potosi and headed to the even smaller town of Uyuni

A short, random break on route

The first views of the Salt Flats!

Uyuni
That night we headed out to a tourist bar, before playing on another HUGE SLIPPERY slide, later that night Claudia and I headed to another local bar. I really really wasn't planning to drink, but as soon as the Beautiful Bolivian locals realised that we were English and Swiss they just kept topping up our beers, and neither my Spanish, nor ego, is good enough to tell people that my stomach aint too great...so they just kept topping my cup up, and you can't drink it slow here, no no no. I kept mouthing to Claudia "I'm gonna explode", and I was fine until one woman gave me one too many...."I can't hold this..." went through my head, "...No, Yeah I can, I've got this, I've got thi......" nope, big explosion, but I made it......then the locals still encouraged me to drink! Love it. I went home after about 15 beers completely sober. Onto the following 3 days, 4x4 adventures across the Salt Flats and into Chile on Day 3....

Sucker Punch...there's plenty more photos but I didn't take many on my camera....I'd imagine more for FB soon!

The Train Cemetery

The sun setting on Day 1. Before we stayed up into the early hours watching the stars at above 4000m

Day 2

Many rocks to be climbed!

Think my shoes need replacing again....not any time soon!

I still find this amazing snow in the middle of the desert, I know it's high but it's still amazing!

Eat dust!

More rocks to climb!!!!!!

Lake Colorado

A challenge too easily excepted by me, run to the top and down again before lunch! So worth the view!

I was wearing the shirt cos it was the first clean shirt I found in my backpack, but I had to get the flag out. Great Easter present from 2 years ago Mum and Dad.

Early start on Day 3

And leaving Bolivia...

.....Before heading into San Pedro de Atacama, Chile for two nights!

Looks very similar to Southampton's white rose!

Our 2nd day in Chile (or our one and only full day in Chile) Claudia and I hired bikes and went and got lost! Perfecct!

Huge "STOP" warnings.....

.....but no!

This it what happens when you go off of the beaten track....

....sometimes it just becomes beaten!

We found the road!!!!!

Later that evening with a trip to the driest place on Earth!

Stollen!

And to the Moon....Valle de la Luna

Moon tans!

And watching the sun set!

Chile was awesome, well, San Pedro was awesome! The scenery was pretty amazing. My stay was very brief, but I got the most out of it. It's just giving me a bug to see more of Chile, but that'll have to be another time.
The following morning, aka yesterday, we headed from San Pedro on a 10 hourish bus ride to Salta, Argentina.

First view of Argentina

Last night in Salta...

...And today in Salta!
Today I have been pretty chilled out. I spent the morning checking out Salta, then had the most productive German lesson that I've ever had, it's starting to make sense (I have less than two weeks in Spanish speaking countries (for now) my Spanish is as good as it's gonna get (for now) apart from the odd words). Gonna finish this, then go for a run and a work out at the top of a mountain/hill.....assuming that I don't get lost again!
I've always been nervous to come to Argentina due to the fact that I always had this impression that the English were hated here (due to incidents in the 80's), but I have always wanted to come here. It wasn't till I spoke to an Argentina girl back in New Zealand back in November that I realised it really isn't an issue! And so far it really feels like it isn't an issue at alll! Great! The landscape (from what I've seen) is amazing, and I haven't dealt too much with the locals yet, but they all seem friendly enough. It does have a very European feel here, and I've been told the same about Buenos Aires, where I will be flying to early tomorrow morning.
