I really need a job!

OK, so I haven't forgotten to post on here in the last few weeks, but I've just been waiting for something worth writing about to happen, and as the title suggested "I need a job" so I haven't had a great deal of exciting things happen since my last post, nearly 6 weeks ago! So I will just do a quick run down I suppose. And get some photos up here!

So Indonesia came to end on a high, after breaking my phone a few weeks before leaving Indonesia, my wallet got stolen from me on our last night in Indonesia. We were out for a night out in Sky Garden, a club in Kuta, after randomly deciding to spend the night out after meeting up with Raúl and Federica whilst eating. It was a pretty good night, then we left the club, started to make our way home, but on route stopped outside the 7-eleven. On our way out that's when I got hassled, and I felt them A holes take my wallet, they worked quick though, and in a big group. Some how Sandra managed to get my camera back. We went home, changed our clothes then went to spy on them, we watched different people (no not people) thieves operate, and we noticed that the 7-eleven were in on it too, helping the guys out, giving them subtle advice. As a result we managed to stop them doing the same thing to two unsuspecting Aussie blokes. My serious advice to you is to stay clear of these clubs down Jalan Legian in Kuta, or to keep your wits about yourself at all times, as the clubs are in on it too....and you know that the local police aren't gonna be much help to you westerners.

Honestly after the whole reasons we went over to Indonesia: To help out; that country just takes and takes and takes, doesn't work, but still feels it deserves more. I'm not speaking about all Indonesians obviously, but a large portion. I feel bad for the people out there that really need help, as many will take advantage of this, and they do give it a bad name. But in saying that, I would like to point out and stress that a lot of Indonesians are great, fantastic, funny, caring...just brilliant.

OK, so that was Indonesia done, We spent our last day just in Kuta, before getting in our taxi and heading for Denpasar airport. Where we got charged more money, this time to leave Indonesia! Before taking our flight onto Brisbane, my Southern Hemisphere home! I think that I slept most of the flight, except for when the food cam around! We arrived in Brisbane at about 5 or 6 in the morning, and pretty much straight through customs...again!

Yeaaaa, a happy me at Denpasar airport, with my new wallet (The zip broke a few days later, but still....!!!!)

Long time no see: It was 104 weeks since Rosie dropped me off at Brisbane airport for me to take my reluctant flight onto Queenstown, New Zealand. That flight was on Saturday 28th August 2012, and Saturday 26th August 2014, Sandra and an excited me got picked up by Tash and an excited Rosie! Aaaaaah yeeeeeaaaaaahhh! We headed back to there house in Windsor (a suburb just north of Brisbane's CBD) where we woke up MJ! And then didn't achieve too much the rest of the day. But I did get to see Jeff and Grimace again.

I've been here a few times now!

The following day, we took a trip to the Glasshouse Mountains. We went to go climb Mt Tibrogargan (364m), but it was closed, so we couldn't do it!...Haha, yeah like a little plastic orange fence is gonna stop me or Rosie.

And the sun setting on our route down

That was my first weekend back in Oz after 2 years, and Sandra's first weekend in Oz. Since then we have been on the house hunt and job hunt. And after nearly 6 weeks, I really need a job! I am getting a bit bored and restless, and over the endless job hunt. Sandra has managed to get herself a job in a chain known as Sumo Salad, there was a new store opening in the MacArthur Mall in Brisbane CBD, which opened last Friday. So Sandra started working there last Thursday, and as a result I now have my Sugar Mama. The house hunt went well too, we actually managed to find a place in Sping Hill, but on the day we were meant to move in, we got a better offer from Jeff and Nina to feel up there spare room for 3 months...at half the rent. So we moved in here, in Teneriffe (not the Spanish island) the weekend before last, and had a bit of a house warming. Thanks to Jeff, Nina and Grimace for helping us get our bed sorted.

3 very poor pictures from our balcony looking into Fortitude Valley as the sun sets... I will get more pictures of our place on a future post

Apart from that, I have been job hunting. Earlier today (well yesterday now), I managed to randomly cut myself some sort of deal about setting up a music store's website, in exchange for drum stuff...I only went in there to look for some drum sticks. And I have a call back for a second interview tomorrow morning after meeting the MD of the company earlier today (maybe more on that later, we'll see how tomorrow goes!).

We spent the weekend just passed on Fingal Head beach, a group of us headed down there late on Saturday night, slept on the beach and then spent most of Sunday down there. A few weeks ago I spent an afternoon climbing Kangaroo Point cliffs with Coops and others, again. Started swimming in The Valley Pools with Dandy to keep me occupied. Started using our downstairs gym with Jeff. And catching up with old friends, and meeting some new! And that's kinda it for the moment. But don't worry, it will get more exciting soon, I can't have my readers getting board! So I will have to start doing more stuff.....but trust me, Australia is expensive when you don't have a job!

But since we've been back, I would like to thank Rosie, Tash, and MJ for letting us crash on your sofa, for what ended up being four weeks in the end, whilst we got our living arrangements sorted. You helped us out loads, plus it was great being that close to you all! Sorry about the blender!

I'M BACK!!!!

And I just wanna finish this post by saying congratulations to my sister and Andy who got engaged on my first weekend back in Oz. Bless her, she was tryna get hold of me all weekend so that I would find out through her and not Facebook. All the best to the future Mr and Mrs Stinko. And happy 30th to Anissa for the weekend just passed.
A toast with a Hahn Superdry from Sandra and me!
I will also try to take more pictures to put on here. I'm just a bit bad as I've been here before!
